YTI aims to organise a monthly social event during the second (full-ish) week of the month, with a summer break in August.

Saturday 14th October, 19:45 Ilkley Literature Festival: "Borders: Kamila Shamsie, Abdulrazak Gurnah and Fergal Keane" at the Ilkley Playhouse-Wildman Theatre.

Friday 10th November Annual internationally themed pub quiz, York, chaired by Catherine Greensmith.

Saturday 16th December Christmas lunch, Leeds.

Saturday 13th January 2018 Winter walk in the Elsecar and Wentworth area, led by Chris Thompson.

CPD

Saturday 30th September, 13:30-16:30 Three hour yoga workshop led by Nam Prakash at the Priory Centre in York. Bookings to Kerry Gilchrist.

Saturday 18th November, 14:00-17:00 Joint legal translation workshop with the North East Regional Group of ITI at the Friends (Quaker) Meeting House, York. The workshop will be preceded by an optional buffet lunch.

Saturday 27th January 2018 Proofreading workshop with Marga Burke-Lowe, reprising and expanding on her talk from the ITI conference. Most probably in Leeds.

March/April 2018 Subtitling event at Leeds University.
